VAIL — There were a few soft openings for the new CineBistro in Vail this week to work out the kinks. The business had its grand opening Friday and is off to a great start.
“Wow — what a treat,” said Maxine Graboyes. “I have never seen anything like it. The decor is gorgeous — elegant but understated. The drinks were even gorgeous. I had a ‘Love Bug' (made with banana liqueur and pineapple juice). It was delicious. All that was missing was the beach.”
“CineBistro combines a supercomfortable sports bar with the most delicious drinks and a movie theater,” said Warren Graboyes.
“ The 63-seat theater has sumptuous seating and great food. What an improvement for Vail.”
The talk of the evening on Wednesday often veered to reminiscing on how the old Crossroads Theater was a bit antiquated. It was definitely time for a movie theater in Vail since the closing of the Cascade Village Theater. CineBistro boasts state-of- the-art technology from check-in to curtain call. The huge screens and comfortable, high-back leather seats make watching a film enjoyable. For in-theatre dining, be sure to arrive 30 minutes before showtime.
Prepared fresh daily from local ingredients are chefinspired dishes such as the sesame seared tuna with field green salad, avocado, tomatoes and a ginger lime dressing. A “feature” — or main course — is the fettucini al forno with garlic cream sauce and Parmesan crust was fresh and filling.
