FRISCO — A fatal accident on Interstate 70 had the eastbound lanes closed Wednesday evening at Frisco until about 11 p.m. while state troopers investigated the accident.
Colorado State Patrol received a report of an accident at 7:31 p.m. on I-70 at mile marker 202.5 near Frisco.
One person was declared dead at the scene, said trooper Heather Cobler, a spokeswoman for the Colorado State Patrol.
A Pontiac sedan was driving east when it lost control and veered left hitting a pole.
The driver of the car — an adult male — was the only person in the vehicle, and no other cars were involved.
The man has not been identified while his family is notified.
