AVON, Colorado — The second annual SnowBall Music Festival will come to Avon March 2 — 4, and the town has announced a number of temporary road, parking lot and municipal building closures to accommodate the festival at Nottingham park.
• Lake Street will be closed at Benchmark Road/Avon Recreation Center north lot to Benchmark Road/Municipal Bldg. starting 6 a.m. March 1 ending at 6 a.m. March 6 (including the east entrance to Falcon Point and adjacent condos).
• Benchmark Road will be closed at the Avon Library westbound starting at noon March 2 ending at 10 p.m. March 4
• Riverfront Lane will close at the building which was uses as the “Westin sales office” west to Benchmark Road starting at 6 a.m. and ending at 11 p.m. each day of the festival.
• East Beaver Creek Boulevard will be closed eastbound at Chapel Place Road starting at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 11 p.m. March 2 through March 4.
• East Beaver Creek Boulevard will be closed westbound at Post Boulevard Road starting at 9:30 p.m. and ending at 11 p.m. March 2 through March 4
• The Avon Recreation Center will be closed for its annual spring maintenance and cleaning programs Feb. 29 through March 5. The center will re-open at 6 a.m. March 6.
• Ascent Physical Therapy, located inside the Avon Recreation Center, will be open for regular business hours Feb. 29, March 1 and March 5. The business will have reduced hours March 2, opening at 8 a.m. and closing at 1 p.m.
• The Avon Municipal building will be closed March 2 and will re-open at 8 a.m. March 5. Parking for municipal business will be available on Benchmark Road, but it will be limited.
• The Avon Library will offer a modified schedule to accommodate patrons. The library will be open March 2 through March 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Parking for library patrons will be available on Benchmark Road, but it will be limited.
