Web Editor Austin Richardson is responsible for updating and continuing development for www.vaildaily.com. A journalist for 10 years, he has served in nearly all capacities in the news business. From reporting, editing, copy editing and photography, these skills will hopefully help in forwarding the editorial force of the Vail Daily. He proudly hails from Hiawatha, Kansas, and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Political Science. He enjoys tennis, golf, reading and camping.

Charlie Owen
Charlie Owen was born in Massachussets, has lived in four out of the five New England states, New Jersey, Ohio and Indiana. After experiencing the beauty and majesty of Colorado during a brief vacation, he fell in love with the mountains.

Upon his return to the desolate town of Anderson Indiana he immediately packed his bags, quit his job, the band, and school and moved at once to his new home in Vail. Charlie loves snowboarding, golf, football, music (drums) and all forms of entertainment. His goal is to travel the world by any means neccessary.

On occasion you will see him out at the local bars enjoying a cocktail or two. He has been with the Vail Daily only a short time and currently wishes to pursue a degree in journalism and become a full time writer. There is no turning back now, he must finish what he has begun.

My all-consuming interest is the automotive industry, both here in the USA and abroad.

I spend hours each day scouring the internet for all things automotive. I am also quite interested in climate change and carbon emissions and its relationship with the automotive industry (including things like alternative fuels, electric cars, political incentives for auto-makers to produce greener products, etc.).
