Muhammad Ali Hasan should be applauded for his huge success through his recent “coffee shop tour” drawing attention to the pine beetle epidemic and severance tax expenditures.
This bright, rising star of the Republican Party was able to get over 600 people to sign their names to postcards and have their individual voices heard — what a feat! Republican or Democrat, any candidate for office that can affect change in such a positive manner is worthy of our support.
I am disappointed Rep. Scanlan did not participate in this tour, even after numerous invitations. I hope Rep. Scanlan finds time in the near future to come to Eagle County and get involved, as Hasan does, in the issues that matter most to us.
Good luck, Mr. Hasan, in your election. I imagine you will have the support of every person who love Eagle County as much as you do.
