Locals dish on their favorite meals in town

Breakfast: Terra Bistro, Vail

The meal: “The scramble. It has a lot mixed in, so you get everything at once: bacon, egg, sausage.

Lunch: Avon Bakery and Deli, Avon

The meal: “The turkey club. Fresh bread, quick, easy and delicious.”

Dinner: Larkspur, Vail

The meal: “The short ribs. Tender, perfectly cooked every time.”

Breakfast: Avon Bakery and Deli, Avon

The meal: “I like the egg, ham and cheese croissant sandwich. It’s just a good, simple, tasty breakfast.”

Lunch: Vendetta’s Italian Restaurant, Vail

The meal: “A couple of slices of pizza: the snow pig. It has hamburger and sausage and ham on it. It’s a good, hearty lunch.”

Dinner: Russell’s, Vail

The meal: “The scallops wrapped in bacon for an appetizer and the Steak Diane for the main course, medium rare. I like a good steak and I think that’s the best one in the valley. It’s a good-sized portion.”

The meal: “I like the blueberry bagel with butter. It’s healthy-ish.”

Lunch: Smiling Moose Deli, Edwards

The meal: “The Rock Pile wrap. It’s kind of my new favorite.”

Dinner: Fiesta’s New Mexican Cafe and Cantina, Edwards

The meal: “The chicken enchillada. It’s cheesy.”
