Working with the dynamic practice of vinyasa yoga, participants will learn through heart-opening and hip-opening asanas to better prepare themselves for challenges in or out of the yoga studio. To respond is to be alive, to be responsible under the conditions of here and now. Making a rash reaction can often be unproductive or even regrettable, but with the use of breath, inner reflection and choice, a true response can be formulated to help successfully lead a person through any challenge that may come theirway.

“Here and now, we’re fresh and brand new,” said Mountain Lotus Director Kelly Heath. “If we can come from that place, perhaps step back a bit, and then respond, we might create a more desirable outcome for ourselves. But, to step back is not always easy since we all have moods and emotions. It takes practice. We fluctuate and flow like a river, as do our circumstances. Knowing that, and knowing yourself, this workshop will invite us to pause, breathe, think, and finally, respond.”
