These bathing beauties never travel without their Vail Daily in their bikinis. ThatŐs what you call readership! The ladies purchased their trip through the Vail Mountain School Auction last fall. On a deserted beach in Virgin Gorda are Sara Charles, Robin Deighan, Debbie King Ford, Margo Hields, Carolyn Pope and Heidi Heid.

A great way to get involved in your community is to volunteer your time and energy. This include kids. Here at the Family Learning Center we have toddlers getting involved. The Toddler 2 Rooms, which have kids 2 to 3 years old along with their proud teachers, Ms. Megan Doty and Ms. Rosa Guerra, had an adopt-a-pet theme for April. The toddlers learned how to care for pets. They also asked for a wish list from the Eagle County Animal Shelter. All the kids worked really hard collecting items such as collars, leashes, kitten formula, bottle feeders and much more. A big thank you for all your hard work and support for the animal shelter, and to the donors who made the project a success.

Town Talk towers
.
OK, somaybe some garbage blows out of trash cans. But that can’t account for all of the fast food cups, straws, plastic bags and other unidentifiable goo on the ground at the Freedom Park playground.
Come on, people, let’s be a little bit more conscientious about our neighbors who are at the playground to enjoy the slides and swings — not to constantly swat chewed-up pieces of gum out of their toddlers’ hands.
On a totally unrelated note, what’s with that hard plastic that everything’s packaged in these days? You know, that almost impenetrable armor that everything from spoons to computer mice to fertilizer comes in these days.
We here at Town Talk Towers would like to write our congressman asking him to help ban this type of packaging, but we stabbed ourselves in our writing hand trying to saw our new fountain pen out of its bulletproof package. We tried to use the computer, but we stabbed a hole through our new keyboard, destroying the letters W through O, trying to cut it from its indestructible shell.
