ORCHARD MESA, Colorado — A woman found in a ditch near her pickup truck had drowned and alcohol was a factor.

That according to the Mesa County coroner’s office who investigated the death of Colleen Maxwell of Grand Junction.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a body found at 6:30 a.m. Saturday and said they believe the death is the result of an accident.
