High school summer school offered in June



EAGLE-VAIL — Battle Mountain High School will offer summer school to all high school students who need to recover credit in English, math, history, and science.

The summer session will run Monday through Thursday from June 9 to June 26.

Students will be able to take up to 1.0 credit, which is equal to two classes. First period will begin at 8 a.m., and second period will begin at 10 a.m., each period lasting two hours.

Classes will be $130 per 0.5 credit and must be paid before the start of the first class. Financial aid is available upon request.

Students will be required to attend summer school if they have failed a core class during the 2007-2008 school year or need to make up credit from previous years.

Classes will include underclassman English and upperclassman English, history, physical science, biology, Algebra 1A, 1B and 1C, Algebra II A and II B and Geometry A.
