Only a berm prevented the truck, which stopped in the median, from going into the eastbound lanes of traffic, the Sheriffs Office says.
The deputy chased 400 yards before catching him, the Sheriffs Office says.
Boswell was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, two counts of criminal impersonation, criminal mischief, marijuana possession, compulsory insurance, speeding, vehicular eluding, driving a vehicle without a valid operator's license and reckless driving.
Boswell is being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $7,500 bond.
