Truck parking ban a bad idea

Print Comment
I would just like to quickly comment on our current Vail parking dilemma.

I appreciate the effort the Vail Town Council is putting to solve the problem, given that the previous council didn’t adequately plan for this when they approved all of these massive projects to be built.

Where did they honestly think the workers would park for these projects? The restricted parking may help, but alternative parking areas are more critical.

Finally, Margaret Roger’s idea of banning pickups from the structure is so poorly thought through she should really be embarrassed.

Many of her constituents drive pickups as their primary vehicle. Why should they be penalized?

Maybe the ban should include large SUV or mini-vans or whatever Margaret is not driving.

Hopefully, this Town Council can think through solutions better than the last group.
