EAGLE A teenaged girl was injured Monday afternoon while hiking in Fulford Cave south of Eagle, police said.
The 13-year-old girl was climbing under the supervision of instructors from Colorado Climbing School near the main entrance of Fulford Cave when she apparently fell and injured her knees, according to Deputy Gianni Robinson of the Eagle County Sheriffs Office.
Robinson said he believes the girl to be a resident of New York state.
Vail Mountain Rescue, along with the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District and Western Eagle Ambulance District collaborated in the girls rescue, Robinson said.
Robinson said no further information was immediately available.
We probably wont get anything tonight because shes a minor and we dont have any parental contacts for her, he said.
