Avon hires new attorney

Eric Heil will replace town attorney John Dunn, who will be resigning at the end of September

AVON, Colorado — Eric Heil, of Widner Michow & Cox LLP, has been contracted to serve as Avon’s town attorney. Heil will replace town attorney John Dunn, who will be resigning at the end of September.

Heil has 16 years of experience as a municipal attorney in Colorado. Heil also has worked as a community development planner. Heil is the town attorney for Lochbuie, Colo., and assistant city attorney for the Centennial, Colorado.

He also has been the municipal attorney for the Colorado towns of Rico, Silverthorne, Ophir, Norwood and Sawpit.
