Jason Statham stars in this action-thriller set in a future postindustrial wasteland where inmates at a penitentiary inspire jailers to create a televised brutal sporting event. Directed and written by Paul W.S. Anderson. R for strong violence and language.

“MAMMA MIA”
The Abba songbook provides the lyrics and melodies for this comical romance about a former girl-group singer, her about-to-be-married daughter and the three men who might be the girl's father. With Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard. Directed by Phyllida Lloyd. PG-13 for some sex-related comments.

“WALL-E”
Daring and traditional, groundbreaking and familiar, apocalyptic and sentimental, this often wordless story of robots in love gains strength from embodying contradictions that would destroy other films. "Wall-E" is the latest computer-animated Pixar film to manage what's become next to impossible for anyone else: appealing to the broadest possible audience without insulting anyone's intelligence.
