It’s time for the Potatopalooza — glorifying your favorite starchy tuber. Festivities start at 2 p.m. and continue into the night. Enjoy music by the Railbenders and Jazzoompa, and get your paddle arm ready for the Mother Earth Globe auction at 5 p.m. There also will be a kids’ zone, food vendors, an art show by the Eagle Valley Artist Alliance, potato car derby with prizes — and it’s all going on in downtown Eagle. There will be prizes for the best-dressed team, coolest couch and, of course, the fastest. Yeti’s Grind will be serving potato-vodka Bloody Marys before, during and after the event. The band Remnants of a Riddle will take the stage at 11 a.m. after the couch commotion. For those of you who do not consider yourselves couch potatoes, Broadway Liquors also will have a fly-fishing clinic in the town park at 10 a.m. Sign up for events at Everyday Outfitter at 330 Broadway in Eagle.
