Don’t let the name L’il Partner fool you — our inventory is not “l’il” at all! Half the store is devoted to womens’ apparel and accessories, including Worn jeans, Old Gringo boots, bling belts and jewelry.
Customers will find everything from affordable children’s cowboy boots, baby gifts, classic Western toys and vintage-themed decor to ranch-style dinnerware. Looking for a unique gift? L’il Partner carries an eclectic selection of country candles, retro cowgirl signs, lotions, bath salts, books and scarves.
We also have a lot of cowboy Christmas ornaments including horseshoes, spurs, mini-saddles and chaps.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from the competition?
“We have a variety of items in L’il Partner that are exclusive to our store and that cannot be found anywhere else in the Vail Valley,” said store manager Kate Tennant. “Our custom shirts, Western toddler wear, clothing and boots are perfect for outfitting the cowboy or cowgirl at heart.”
The selection of kids’ cowboy hats and boots will give you many affordable options. L’il Partner also features a selection of classic embroidered snap shirts from Rockmount Ranchwear out of Denver for children, men and ladies.

What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened?
Somehow, wires and phone numbers got crossed between us and ZaccaZa!, and the first week we were open, people kept calling and ordering pizza.
