DENVER, Colorado — Former Democratic Gov. Roy Romer is on his way to northern Colorado as part of a three-day tour of the state to tell voters about Barack Obama's rural policies.

Romer and Colorado Department of Agriculture Commissioner John Stulp boarded a recreational vehicle in Denver on Wednesday morning, headed for Sterling.

They will be joined along the way by Democratic Sen. Ken Salazar and Gov. Bill Ritter.

The group plans to visit Sterling, Fort Morgan, Windsor and Greeley on the first day of the trip.
