VAIL, Colorado The Safeway in Vail, Colorado will celebrate its $3 million renovation this weekend.
The West Vail supermarkets grand reopening will be Saturday and Sunday. Shoppers will be able to sample steaks, fruit, sandwiches, soup and breads.
There will also be iPod and grocery giveaways Saturday and Sunday, said Kris Graaf, director of public affairs for Safeways Denver division.
The renovation includes new deli and seafood areas, a new olive bar, a new floral department and an updated Starbucks.
The outside of the store has also been remodeled.
The renovations are worth $2,964,513, according to permits filed with the town of Vail.
