EAGLE, Colorado Todd Palin, First Dude of Alaska and husband of Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin, will campaign in Eagle, Colorado on Tuesday.
Palin is scheduled to be at the Eagle Diner to greet residents around 10 a.m., said Henri Stone, who heads up Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCains campaign in Eagle.
Hes going to stop and talk to folks who are just eating breakfast there, Stone said, calling his stop the New Hampshire diner thing.
Sarah Palin, fresh off her appearance on Saturday Night Live, was in Grand Junction on Monday to address a crowd of thousands at Mesa State College. While Sarah Palin will move on to Nevada on Tuesday, her husband will stick around Colorado to visit several towns, Stone said.
After visiting the diner, Todd Palin will stop by Eagle County GOP headquarters near the Back Bowl. He'll be accompanied by former Western Slope U.S. Republican Rep. Scott McInnis.
Colorados nine electoral votes are being hotly contested in what has become a battleground state.
Its tremendously exciting to have a candidate, particularly the first woman candidate on a Republican vice presidential ticket to come to the Western Slope, Stone said Monday as she was driving to Grand Junction to see Sarah Palins speech. Its extremely exciting.
Todd Palin has won the Tesoro Iron Dog, the longest snowmobile race in the world, four times.
Sarah Palin and her husband really represent Western Slope lifestyle and values, Stone said. Alaska and Colorado have a lot in common in our cultures.
