BEAVER CREEK, Colorado A fundraiser in Beaver Creek, Colorado Saturday night will benefit the memorial fund named after the extreme skier who died while filming the latest Warren Miller film.
Billy Poole died in January in Utah during the filming of Children of Winter.
The fundraiser will be at 8:30 p.m. at the Coyote Cafe in Beaver Creek, between the two Saturday screenings, at 6 and 9 p.m., of the new film.
The film will be shown at the Vilar Center. There will also be a showing Friday at 9:30 p.m.
The Saturday fundraiser will benefit the Billy Poole Memorial Fund, which donates to youth so they can enjoy the great outdoors and skiing.
Buy a raffle ticket for $10 and youll have a chance of winning cool stuff from Black Diamond, Discrete, Smith Optic and Helmets, the Levitation Project and Hestra Gloves.
Warren Miller star and local resident Chris Anthony will host.
