FORT COLLINS, Colorado — A construction worker has been hospitalized in Loveland after falling some 30 feet down an elevator shaft at a large home under construction in Larimer County.

Crews from the Loveland Fire and Rescue Department, Poudre Fire Authority and Thompson Valley Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene in unincorporated Larimer County, between Fort Collins and Loveland, Wednesday morning.

Firefighters found the man at the bottom of the shaft.
