VAIL, Colorado Mountain Lotus at the Vail Athletic Club, the yoga studio located within the Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa, will host certified Baptiste yoga teacher Dave Farmar to guide a special yoga workshop for detox Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. All yoga levels in the community are invited to attend.
Most people are constantly bombarded in their daily lives with substances and situations toxic to their health and peacefulness. This Detox Flow Workshop will physically rinse the body with a specific sequencing of yoga asanas. Through breathing techniques, core-strengthening, and a series of poses which extend, compress and twist your body from the inside out, this flow will jumpstart the detoxification process.
Finding an optimal state of well-being, however, is more than just a physical endeavor, Farmar said.
In the course of this workshop, you will also learn how to more intelligently choose what you put into your body in the first place, and how to create and maintain more healthful and spiritually nurturing environments.
Most of all, you will have fun, learning how to purify your body and soul, especially during the stresses and external pressures of the holiday season, Farmar continued.
Farmar is a certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga teacher. He has traveled to assist Baron Baptiste at teacher trainings and conferences, and has also trained with and assisted Seane Corn, including at her detox flow intensives. More information is available online at www.davefarmar.com.
