Western Slope convenience store robbed

Two people wearing ski masks robbed a Kum-N-Go convenience store in Battlement Mesa

BATTLEMENT MESA, Colorado — Two people wearing ski masks robbed a Kum-N-Go convenience store in Battlement Mesa, Colorado Sunday night.

The robbery occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. near at the corner of Tamarisk Trail and Stone Quarry Road.

A clerk was held at gunpoint, and the suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, the Garfield County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Battlement Mesa is about 45 miles west of Glenwood Springs along Interstate 70.

Garfield County Crime Stoppers is searching for information that will lead to arrest and prosecution of suspects. Anyone can remain anonymous and earn up to $1,000.00 by calling 945-0101.
