SUMMIT COUNTY, Colorado - A 29-year-old snowboard instructor died in Blue River in Summit County, Colorado on Saturday morning after her four-door sedan swerved over some ice on Highway 9 and collided with an oncoming dump truck, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.
Bess Rosenfeld, an instructor at Breckenridge Ski Resort, was driving north-bound when her vehicle was T-boned and pushed about 420 feet south.
The accident occurred at about 8:35 a.m. and she was dead on impact, according to Richardson.
She was taken to Breckenridge Medical Center and pronounced dead at 9:25 a.m. Her parents live in Connecticut.
