I-70: Traffic will be stopped on Georgetown Hill

Traffic will be stopped for about 20 minutes throughout Wednesday and Thursday

INTERSTATE 70, Colorado — Traffic on Interstate 70 on Georgetown Hill will be stopped for about 20 minutes throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday while crews do rockslide prevention work.

The work will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and traffic will be stopped in the east- and westbound lanes. Westbound traffic will be stopped at the Georgetown interchange and eastbound traffic will be stopped at Silver Plume.

Weather permitting, additional work requiring traffic stops is scheduled April 27 through 30. The entire project should be finished in June.
