Bocce time
What's simple, fun and Italian but you don't eat it? Bocce, of course! What's bocce? It's an ancient Roman game that anyone (even if you are not Italian) can play. You don't even need a special outfit. Five minutes of instruction will teach you all you need to know about throwing the balls toward a target ball called a pallino. Put a team of four together, and give it a try on Father's Day, June 21, at the Eagle-Vail Pavilion. There will be food, prizes and live entertainment. All money raised by the Swift Eagle Charitable Foundation goes to Eagle County residents in crisis situations. Contact Ginny Snowdon for details at vhsnow@aol.com or 970-949-5279.
