What goods or services do you provide? I do custom embroidery, logo wear, monogramming, personalized wedding party gifts, baby gifts, dog collars, and much more. I have great product lines to choose from. If I don't currently have a supplier, I'll try my hardest to find one.
What's new or exciting at your place? Every day is an adventure. I'm always learning something new.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? I have low overhead since I have a home office. Since I'm a smaller company I can afford to do smaller orders, whereas some larger companies won't. I can also do large orders with a fairly quick turnaround.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? My customers can expect great products and workmanship. I believe in great customer service. I think it all starts there. I want to give my customers exactly what they want. I'm not afraid to ask questions if I don't understand completely. If my customers are satisfied, then they'll refer my services. If they're not, everyone will hear about it. As we all know this valley is small and word travels quickly.
Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: I grew up in the Glenwood Springs area. I went to college to pursue a business degree, and now currently own and operate two businesses. I have had a small landscaping company, Garden Care, with my husband, Matthew King, for about five years.
I like all aspects of running a business and really enjoy being busy. I truly value our relationships with our clients. Since landscaping is seasonal, I have been trying to figure out what to do in the winter. My parents decided to get an embroidery machine a few years ago and have been having fun with it. This seemed like a good opportunity, so I decided to get one as well. If I get too busy, they help me and vice versa.
