VAIL, Colorado — It was all about Baltimore Wednesday as the Baltimore Crabs and M & D Lax took home the boys and girls high school championships.

The ladies from M&D were first up, easily handling PA Express and then the Crabs put up a 12-9 victory over Team Colorado. It was Baltimore's fourth consecutive high school title, a record in Vail.

The Toronto Renegades won Division II with a 12-2 victory over fellow Canadian squad Winnipeg. The girls silver division was taken by a group of rising high-school freshmen, the Stars Silver.

Today, the men's and women's elite kick off. Can Team 21 start right on the road to a repeat? Or will Lacrossewear's Merrill Lynch finally break through to the top?

The Baltimore Crabs were able to cash in their offensive opportunities en route to their fourth straight Championship on Wednesday afternoon. Their late run started with 2:36 left in the third with a rip from John Kaestner (three goals, one assist) and moments later, Chris Costabile (a hat trick) punched one home.

The Crabs then got off two more sandwiched around a Colorado goal by Michael Biemford , who led his team with three, to push the score to 12-9 with 9:05 left.

The Crabs offense got hot twice and used those runs to break away from Colorado. Colorado was leading 4-3 midway through the second, but the Crabs scored five goals before the half ended, taking an 8-4 lead into the break.

In goal, Adam Cohen and Harry Krieger backstopped the win for the Crabs.
