VAIL VALLEY, Colorado — GreatNonprofits, a national group that produces ratings and reviews of nonprofits, released its first list of top-rated cancer-fighting nonprofits. First Descents, the Vail Valley-based nonprofit that runs kayaking adventure camps for young adults living with cancer, won the best of the mountain category — one of just nine nonprofits that made the list.
