VAIL VALLEY, Colorado — Residents will have another chance Wednesday night to weigh in on the future of the old Battle Mountain High School in Eagle-Vail.
Eagle County school officials plan a presentation Wednesday night before Minturn town council. The presentation is set for 7:15 p.m. at Minturn Town Hall, 302 Pine St. in Minturn.
Forms will be available for members of the community to write feedback on the idea of turning the old Battle Mountain high into a pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade school. The concept calls for moving students at Minturn Middle School and Meadow Mountain elementary school into the old Battle Mountain high building.
School board Vice President Connie Kincaid-Strahan has said she hopes the board will decide on the pre-K through eighth-grade school on Oct. 28. She expects cost estimates to be ready then.
