Heather and I owe a great apology to the many readers who read our comments and thought we were provoking hate upon homosexuals. Hating homosexuals is wrong. Hating people who don't take care of their lawn is wrong, hating the president is wrong, hating Texans is wrong, hating Christians is wrong and hating people who think differently than you is wrong.

We agree that homosexuals are not only “gay,” they are fathers and sisters, athletic and lazy, patient and impatient, generous and cheap, kind and cruel -- they are multi-faceted people like each of us are.

Heather and I have a lot of faults. We are proud, outspoken, impatient, lazy, at times rude, cheap and selfish. We have had struggles with sexual immorality in the past. We are not better than those who want to participate in Gay Ski Week nor those who want to hold Gay Ski Week for monetary gain.

We do believe it is a fault to practice sexual immorality because the Creator says it is, and men having sex with men is the leading cause of spreading AIDS in America: Please visit http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/topics/surveillance/united_states.htm. We do not hold celebrations and special weeks dedicated to proudly celebrating our faults.

As Americans and citizens of Eagle County, we too want to exercise our right to speak out.

We don't endorse publicly celebrating the homosexual lifestyle and what this celebration is teaching youth who are receiving mixed messages about sexuality.

So we're all guilty and struggle with faults of different kinds. “What wretched men we are! Who will deliver us from this body of death? Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord!” Rom 7:24
