Vail Valley music: Jazz saxophonist Kenny G makes his encore appearance at the Vail Center in Beaver Creek on March 24
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado — Tickets for the entire Vilar Performing Arts Center Winter 09-10 lineup go on sale at 11 a.m., Monday. Tickets will be available online at www.vilarpac.org, by phone at 888.920.ARTS(2787) or at the box office in Beaver Creek.
“Web traffic has been absolutely through the roof since we announced the season, with people checking out the lineup and researching the artists,” said Paul Abling, marketing and public relations manager for the Vail Valley Foundation and Vilar Center. “We expect to have a huge day of ticket sales on Monday, and want to make sure everyone knows how quickly some of these shows will sell out. It's a small theater, which is why we all love seeing shows there, but that also means you need to buy early to secure your seats.”
Highlights of the season include American Idol star David Archuleta performing “Christmas From The Heart;” Blues legend B.B. King; STOMP; Cats The Musical; country and pop superstar Glen Campbell; Russian National Orchestra; and two full-company performances by the internationally renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
The Vilar Center has added three shows, Twist & Shout, the Ultimate Beetles Experience, will bring the legendary group's classics to life on Feb. 8. Jazz saxophonist Kenny G makes his encore appearance at the center on March 24. And country rock sensation Terri Clark will perform a solo acoustic show on March 26.
A calendar of the full season, artist bios, videos, “VPAC Radio,” a virtual theater tour, online ticketing and more are available at www.vilarpac.org .
The Vilar Performing Arts Center is a project of the Vail Valley Foundation. For more information on the Vail Valley Foundation, visit www.vvf.org.
