With 86 percent of the votes counted, Ross Morgan has defeated Modesto Sanchez in the race for the Eagle County School Board. Just before 8 p.m. Morgan had about 2,200 votes to Sanchez's 1,110. Eagle County Clerk and Recorder Teak Simonton said there were only about 800 votes left to count.

Simonton said she expected all the votes to be counted by about 9 p.m.
