Vail Daily letter: For Eagle River Station

Over the past few years, I have read and listened closely to the issues surrounding the evaluation process for the up-and-coming Eagle River Station project.

I must acknowledge I have been more than impressed by the town of Eagle Board of Trustees' commitment and persistence in working diligently to ensure the town receives significant economic benefits from this project.

However, I was a bit disenchanted when I read in the Vail Daily comments attributed to Trustee Scott Hunn that the $32 million infrastructure improvements Eagle River Station has slated in no way will benefit the town.

These improvements will definitely improve the outdated water lines and waste water lines along Chambers Avenue so the balance of open properties along Chambers can be in-filled successfully.

As a property-business owner on Chambers Avenue, I support the Eagle River Station project and look forward to the overall infrastructure improvements, job opportunities and the tax revenues Eagle River Station will create for the residents of the town.
