BEAVER CREEK, Colorado — Portions of Rose Bowl will open on Beaver Creek Mountain Friday.
Trails set to open in Rose Bowl include Ripsaw, Cataract, C Prime and Stone Creek Meadows. Additional trails accessed by the Birds of Prey Express Lift (Chair 9) also will open including Goshawk and Lower Peregrine. The Dally trail will provide a return to the base.
That will bring the amount of terrain open on Beaver Creek to 750 acres. The resort also has seven chairlifts and eight beginner conveyor lifts open.
Also on Friday, dinner service will begin at Beano's Cabin. Reservations may be made by calling 970-54-3463.
On Saturday, the Riverfront Express Gondola (Lift 7) will open for the season along with the Upper Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (Chair 18) and the Lower Beaver Creek Mountain Express Lift (Chair 15). Skiers can return to the Landing via Leave the Beav trail. The Cabin Fever platter lift in Bachelor Gulch will open as well. By Saturday the resort will have 811 acres of terrain open.
Also on Saturday, McCoy Park also opens for the season offering 10 kilometers to 15 kilometers of track for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. For equipment rentals and other information call the Nordic Sports Center at 970-754-5313.
