EAGLE, Colorado - Residents are expected to rush the polls Tuesday to vote on Eagle River Station.
To make voting go more smoothly, Town Clerk Marilene Miller has a few suggestions. She expects the crowds at the polls to be manageable because of a high turnout for mail-in ballots. As of Monday afternoon, about 700 people had sent in their mail-in ballots, she said. If you have not yet sent in your mail-in ballot, drop it off at Town Hall instead of trying to mail it today, she said.
Another tip for avoiding lines is avoiding voting during peak hours. Early morning, lunchtime and 5 to 7 p.m. are always the busiest times for voting, Miller said. Your best bet for quick voting is 8 a.m. to noon, she said.
