The Vail Valley Partnership's Seventh Annual Success Awards Gala is set for Feb. 5 at the Lodge at Vail. Besides honoring the businesses of the year in several categories, the event is also a fund-raiser, with part of the proceeds going toward the group's “Non-Profit of the Year,” the Vail chapter of the Salvation Army.

Silent auction items so far include:

• A five-day, four-night vacation to Cancun, Mexico. The starting bid is $300.

• An autographed Jimmie Heuga Sports Illustrated Cover and frame. The starting bid is $100.

• An enclosed White Gold Mama Bear Necklace from the Golden Bear. The starting bid is $165.

• A 12-string acoustic guitar autographed by Willie Nelson. The starting bid is $671.

• Several lodging packages for destinations including Aspen, Las Vegas, Boulder, Vail and Beaver Creek.

Small Business of the Year: Green Limousine, Ski Butlers, Venture Sports/Avon.

Green Business of the Year: Organic Housekeepers, Town of Vail, Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa.

Entrepreneur of the Year: Bryn Carey/Ski Butlers, Gary Gilman/SteamMaster, Nevada Furrow/Prosper Studios

Citizenship Award: SteamMaster, Vail Recreation District, Vail Valley Cares.

While the Salvation Army won this year's award for nonprofits, other nominees were SOS Outreach and Vail Valley Cares.
