Vail skiers and snowboarders are reveling in a jolt of snow over the weekend that has rejuvenated ski season for many. On Monday, Vail Mountain reported 8 inches of fresh snow overnight and 32 inches in the past seven days, bringing its season total to 199 inches and its base to 55.
Beaver Creek Mountain reported 6 inches overnight and 32 inches in the last seven days, bringing its base to 56-inches.
There's not a lot of snow in the forecast until the weekend, according to the National Weather Service, which is forecasting a weak storm on Thursday.
The next chance for accumulating snowfall will be over the weekend, its forecast says.
