“SHUTTER ISLAND”

Shutter Island is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island's fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane. “PRECIOUS”

Set in Harlem in 1987, it is the story of Claireece “Precious” Jones (Gabourey Sidibe), a 16 year old African American girl born into a life that no one would want. She's pregnant for the second time by her absent father; at home she must wait hand and foot on her mother (Mo'Nique) who abuses her emotionally and physically. Threatened with expulsion, Precious is offered the chance to transfer to an alternative school. In the literacy workshop, Precious begins a journey that will lead her from darkness, pain and powerlessness to light, love and self-determination. (1:50) R.

“DEAR JOHN”

“Dear John” tells story of John Tyree (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John's increasingly dangerous deployments. (1:55) PG-13.

In the supernatural action thriller Legion, an out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses faith in mankind, He sends His legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter's upcoming wedding, and Paul (Tracy Morgan) is his “partner against crime” whose preoccupation with is wife's alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eyes on the ball.
