VAIL, Colorado— Soprano Renee Fleming makes her debut in Beaver Creek Friday night in a special gala evening, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Vilar Performing Arts Center. The performance begins at 6:30 p.m., with a complimentary pre-show hors d'oeuvres and cocktail reception beginning at 6 p.m.
Fleming will sing arias, as well as Broadway hits and jazz standards.
“We are truly honored that Ms. Fleming was able to make time in her busy world tour to come to Beaver Creek and share her extraordinary talents with the Vail Valley,” said Vilar Center Executive Director Kris Sabel. “This will be a rare opportunity to see one of the most important artists in the world today on our stage. Having the support in the community gives us the opportunity to host artists of Ms. Fleming's caliber, and puts us in the ranks of the leading performing arts centers in the country.”
