Three years ago, we welcomed Johan A baby or our own. Nervously and sleepily, We took him to our home. Three years have gone so quickly, Yet we have learned so much. We've felt a love so strongly, In a baby's gentle touch. His laughs and smiles. His pouts and tears. Wow! He can get so mad! But we wouldn't trade a minute, As a thankful mom and dad. Lance Carl, representing College in Colorado, speaks to the junior and senior classes at Eagle Valley High School about the importance of going to college and furthering your education to achieve your goals. Lance, a former college and professional athlete who is now a motivational speaker, captured the attention of the EVHS students. Through stories, data, humor and a passion to see students make good choices for their future, he inspired the members of his audience to challenge themselves. Red Sandstone Elementary School preschool students and staff would like to thank Vail Police Officers Jackie Ogden and Ryan Millbern, and their police dog Star, for visiting them on Feb. 25. The children loved meeting Jackie, Ryan and Star and finding out what each of them does to help out in the community.
