VAIL, Colorado — When a drug investigation led detectives when to a home on Davos Trail in West Vail, they found a doormat that said “Come back with a warrant.”
“So we did,” said Lt. Mike McWilliam, of the Eagle County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies Wednesday arrested 45-year-old Charles Guadalupe, of Vail, on suspicion of distribution and possession of cocaine. Guadalupe is being held in the Eagle County Detention Facility on a $50,000 bond.
A concerned citizen provided information about Guadalupe's drug distribution operations, the Sheriff's Office says.
Guadalupe then sold $500 worth of cocaine to undercover officers, the Sheriff's Office says.
Drug distribution items were located in Guadalupe's bedroom during the execution of the search warrant, the Sheriff's Office says.
The Avon and Vail police departments assisted with the investigation.
Tips on illegal drug activity from concerned citizens are vital to drug investigations, the Sheriff's Office says.
