COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A downed power line has closed Interstate 25 near Colorado Springs, backing up traffic as utility crews repair it.

Colorado Springs Utilities says a power pole caught fire Monday, and a cable fell across the highway north of Gleneagle.

The cable has been removed, but crews are securing other lines and making repairs before the road reopens.

Traffic is being detoured.
