EAGLE, Colorado — Five candidates will square off for three open seats on the Eagle Town Board during the April 6 municipal election.
The five candidates turned in the required paperwork by the 5 p.m. deadline Friday. They are:
• Incumbent Mikel “Pappy” Kerst — Kerst has served on the town board for the past six years. He is a battalion chief with the Eagle River Fire Protection District.
• Scott Turnipseed — Turnipseed is and architect and he is the current chairman of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission.
• Scot Webster — Webster is a local real estate agent and a member of the Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission.
• Brandi Resa — Resa works as an accountant for a local company.
• Matt Mueller — Mueller is the manager at Eagle Ranch Wine and Spirits.
Incumbents Steven Richards and Scot Hunn are not seeking re-election. Richards is term limited.
The municipal election will be held Tuesday, April 6. Look for candidate profiles in the Thursday, April 1 edition of the Eagle Valley Enterprise.
