VAIL — The Eagle County School District is accepting applications for a vacant school board seat.
The seat opened up because Mark Conlin is moving to New York for a job. His seat covers district “B,” which includes parts of Vail and Minturn, along with Red Cliff.
The district will accept letters of interest for the position through April 9. Interviews will take place April 14. The school board plans to appoint a candidate April 28.
The person who fills the seat will serve through November 2011.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a registered voter who has lived in district B for the past 12 months.
Applicants can submit a letter of interest and resume to Board of Education, P.O. Box 740, Eagle, CO, 81631. The fax number is 970-328-1024.
