Taste of Vail 2010 schedule

Celebrities on Snow (1)9 a.m. to Noon on Vail Mountain Vail Mountain ($200, includes Belgian Beer Lunch)Spend one-on-one time with local celebrity chefs, Taste of Vail vintners and chefs. This is an interactive tasting of four wines with foods representing tastes such as umami, sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and spicy.Mountain Top Picnic, access via the Eagle Bahn Express Gondola12:30 to 3 p.m. at Eagle's Nest (included in Festival Pass or $135)At 10,350 feet above sea level, this signature Taste of Vail event is a bon vivant's picnic, including food from local restaurants and wine poured by the winemakers. Mother Nature can be a wily one, so dress appropriately.Chef Showcase Dinner and Live Auction6 to 10 p.m. at Lodge at Vail ($195)Chefs Sondra Bernstein, Jennifer Jasinski and Frank McClelland come together with two of Taste of Vail's local chefs to create five courses of culinary joy. Wines from the select list of participating wineries are matched with each course. Dinner will be followed by a silent and live auction for a wide array of rare wines, and culinary and travel packages.
