Some of us locals were a little troubled over the re-naming of International on Vail Mountain. After reading about it, I heard comments such as “No way,” “That's a bunch of bull …,” “You've got to be kidding,” and “What about us?”

Well, what about us? The six others I ski with on this great mountain have 167 years combined ski days and we have decided to rename a few runs for ourselves. From this day forward, Forever is now named “Randi's Highway.” Highline is now “Lisa's Bumps.” Morningside is now “Danny's A.M. Dump.” Prima Cornice will now be “Nate's Never Land.” Genghis Khan will be “Tommy's New Tokyo.” Windows is now “Rob's X-Rays Waiting.” And I choose Whiskey Jack to be renamed “Greg's Too Tired To Go.”

This is a personal invitation for Lindsey to ski with us when she gets back from a stellar performance at the recent Winter Games. We'll do a Lindsey's if you join us for all the other new Vail Mountain runs. See ya out there.
