VAIL, Colorado - A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Vail area from noon Saturday through noon Sunday.
The National Weather Service is calling for 5 to 10 inches from the storm. Snow is expected to develop around noon Saturday and continue through Sunday morning, with the heaviest snowfall coming tonight.
Travelers should be ready for icy and snow-packed roads, especially over mountain passes, the weather service said.
The winter weather advisory includes Vail, Aspen and Crested Butte.
On Friday, Vail and Beaver Creek mountains both reported a base of 18 inches.
