I am humbled and gratified by the incredible support and positive response that I have received after announcing that I would run for a seat on the Eagle County Commission.

I am excited by the prospect of serving Eagle County residents, merchants and guests as your county commissioner.

Our local economy has been impacted in ways we would never have imagined.

Many of our friends, family members and neighbors are unemployed and underemployed. I know personally what it's like to be laid off.

I have incredible empathy for those in similar situations. I will use this foundation to start my decision-making process in every circumstance, particularly when faced with decisions regarding job creation or loss. I will emphasize job preservation, creation and stimulation in every single discussion in which I am involved.

My term in office will see an Eagle County that is pursuing an economic plan that will diversify our local economy and make us stronger than we have ever been. At the same time, county finances will be on firmer ground; overall spending will have been reduced; the county will have less debt; reserves will be stable and the quality and efficiency of basic services will be improved without increased expense. A better relationship between the county, the municipalities and special districts will exist.

My experience working with all kinds of people and organizations makes me uniquely qualified to be an effective proponent for the citizens and taxpayers of Eagle County. My reputation as someone who can effectively collaborate to make decisions will serve all of us well.

I have a great passion for Eagle County, its people, its visitors and the diverse lifestyles that it supports. I can positively contribute to all Eagle County citizens.
